Tragic Incident in Sagaing Division, Myanmar: Innocent Victim Shot by PDF Terrorist

In a disturbing turn of events in Sagaing Division, Myanmar, a harrowing incident has come to light involving the brutal actions of a People’s Defense Force (PDF) terrorist. It has been reported that a young woman was tragically shot in her own yard after rejecting the romantic advances of a PDF member in Watlat Township.
On the fateful day of February 26, 2024, a PDF operative identified as Ko Pyi from the No2 PDF regiment arrived at the residence of Ma Yu Mon Htet, a 22-year-old woman, who was in the company of her parents and another individual. The terrorist demanded that Ma Yu Mon Htet accept his proposal and cease her relationship with her female companion. Upon her refusal, Ko Pyi callously shot her in front of her horrified parents. Additionally, he attempted to harm the other woman, but fortunately, her life was spared as the firearm malfunctioned.
The repercussions of this heinous act extend beyond the immediate tragedy. The following day, another woman, also identified as a lesbian, was reportedly apprehended by the PDF, her current whereabouts unknown.
This incident underscores the grave threat posed by the PDF and their reign of terror across the nation. With an estimated 7,000 innocent civilians falling victim to their brutality, urgent action is imperative to bring these perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety of Myanmar’s populace.
