Myanmar Junta army launch counter offensive on all fronts as the fighting enters 16th days

Myanmar launched counter offensive on all parts of war theatre with heavy artillery and air strikes on 11 November at 11:11AM.
The multi-front offensive followed one day after the Junta’s spokesman releases a statement on 10 November about restoration of law and order in the troubled border region with mandate from the meeting of National Security Council which was called earlier on 8 November.
The 450km national highway , linking Mandalay to Chinese border city of Muse is reopened for 120km up to Naung Cho city in North Eastern front. There are unconfirmed reports about recapture of Chin Shwe Haw city which was occupied by the Northern Alliance Opposition forces on the first day of the offensive on 27 October. The opposition sources reported about the heavy fighting along the frontline.
On the Northern theatre, fighting is reported in Kaw Linn city which is the first major city on Myanmar’s heartland Sagaing division captured by the KIA led allied forces of NLD-PDF forces. the junta forces are trying to recapture the city with heavy bombardment by the air force until the 11 November evening. There are unconfirmed reports on social media with videos of opposition forces’ loss after their retreat from attacking Htee Chaint, a strategic city near Kaw Linn with a bridge on Irrawaddy river. The Kham Patt city, another Sagaing division city captured by the opposition forces on India border is said to be still under their control while heavy fighting reported around the area.
On another major development, the opposition alliance forces in the Eastern Kayah state led by ethnic Kayah KDF with NLD-PDF declared “Operation 1107” on November 7 and opened the Eastern front. The heavy fighting reported in the state capital Loikaw on 11 November.
There are unconfirmed reports on social media that 37 government school teachers in MawLuu city which is close to the contested Kaw Linn city were captured by KIA/PDF opposition forces.
Large area of contested cities are destroyed by the air strikes and at least 60,000 refugees from the war zone are taking temporary shelters in the vicinities, supported by the local charities.
