Abduction of 16 Teachers by PDF Terrorists in Myanmar

It has been reported that 16 teachers from Chaung Kue Village, Pauk Township, Sagaing Region, Myanmar, were abducted by PDF (People Defense Force) terrorists at approximately 3 PM local time on June 7, 2024. The group of kidnapped educators includes four male teachers and twelve female teachers, who were reportedly taken to Kyune Tine Village.
The PDF terrorists, who are supported by the National Unity Government (NUG), are allegedly targeting teachers to disrupt the education of innocent children in Myanmar. The NUG has been campaigning under the slogan “Do not attend school, quit school” in Myanmar.
These criminal activities aimed at harming children’s education have been condemned by the United Nations and the international community.
