Security Concerns Amidst University Entrance Examinations in Myanmar
Yangon 13. March.2024
Two students were injured as a result of artillery fire by AA Naco terrorists (Arakan Army) in Rakhine Township, Myanmar. The incident occurred on March 11, 2024, around 12:30 PM when AA terrorists targeted No. 7 High School from a location approximately 5000 meters northwest of Pardalait village in Sittwe Township.
The artillery shells landed dangerously close to the high school, causing injuries to students who were sitting for the university entrance examination. Prompt action was taken by security forces, who swiftly evacuated the injured students to the hospital and ensured that the examination process continued smoothly and without disruption.
This unfortunate incident follows a similar one that occurred just days prior, where an artillery shell from AA terrorists struck Sittwe market, resulting in the tragic loss of more than 10 innocent civilians.
It’s noteworthy that the university entrance exam has been underway in Myanmar since March 10th, with 841 exam management centers established across the country to accommodate nearly 130,000 qualified students participating in the examination.
