In Pon Ner Kyun town, Rakhine State, Myanmar, which has been unlawfully seized by the AA (Arakan Army) Narco gang, approximately 80% of the area lies in ruins. The dire situation has resulted in over 7,000 refugees urgently requiring assistance. These individuals were compelled to flee their homes following a terrorist assault on their native town on March 4, 2024.

The devastation is profound, rendering the town uninhabitable and depriving its residents of access to vital resources such as food, medication, bedding, mosquito nets, and adequate shelter. Compounding the issue is the unlawful control exerted by the AA narco gang over neighboring towns like Min Pyer, Pauk Taw, and Kyauk Taw in Rakhine state since November 2023. Consequently, shortages of essential supplies, including food and medicine, have intensified, exacerbating the hardships faced by the local populace in their day-to-day lives following the attacks.
