In a tragic incident on January 10th, terrorists shot and killed U Win Naing, a 50-year-old village administrator from Kin Pune Chon Village in the Aung Lan Township, Magwe Division, Myanmar. The assailants, identified as members of the People’s Defense Forces (PDFs), intercepted U Win Naing and his family as they returned home from Aung Lan Town.

At Nyaung Pin Wine Village, the terrorists stopped U Win Naing, forced him to lay on the street, and ruthlessly shot him in the head and chest. The attack, targeted and brutal, left U Win Naing dead on the spot, and the perpetrators fled the scene. His trip, meant to bring cooking oil for the local community, turned into a tragic encounter with waiting terrorists.

Following the incident, U Win Naing’s lifeless body was transported to the hospital for further investigation. Law enforcement, including the police, has launched an inquiry to apprehend the terrorists responsible for this heinous act.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of the broader terrorism issue in Myanmar. The PDFs have been responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, including teachers, monks, civil servants, women, and children. The community remains on edge as authorities work tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice and address the ongoing security concerns.

This tragic event highlights the urgent need for collective efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of civilians, fostering peace in Myanmar.
